Parman Place

The proposed four-story development would go where the old gas station now stands.

A parcel at the corner of Monroe and Glenway streets is being considered for a zoning change and "infill redevelopment"--which means a four story apartment complex with 24 apartments.

A majority of residents in this area feel that current plans are too dense--that the building is too tall, and out of character with the neighborhood.

They are also fighting for a greener design--specifically a "green roof," LEED certification, and other features which will enhance the planned reconstruction of Monroe Street as one of Madison's first "Green Streets."
